Kid want's to fly for Uncle Sam but in the meantime is trying to upgrade his Integra. Whats doable for an 17 year old with moderate mechanical ability a thousand or two to spend on the transplant?

B20B/Z CRV block with a YS1 GSR cable tranny would be a nice setup in that car. Of course you could always build an LSVTEC with the current motor also, but the main area to focus on is to switch to a manual

I'd say the same thing. Although I'd probably do a B18C GSR motor (DOHC VTEC). Or get a VTEC head and throw that onto the stock motor for LS/VTEC.

Yup, best bet for some good power in a 90-93 Integra is a built B-series VTEC motor. Otherwise, with a turbo in there you have to sacrafice AC (if you don't make custom IC piping) and is recommended to get a smaller radiator and do some hacking to the crossmember to make everything fit. I have a turbo in my 91 Integra and still have my AC and PS and it's a very tight fit in there..... very tight. The DA chassis engine bays just have no room to play with so sticking with a good all motor setup is the best bet.
