Default SOHC DA Integra Questions..

No flamers please. If you don't like what I'm doing...I don't care, click back and go jack off to some granny **** or something. Don't flood the thread with B/S.

I'm working on putting a D15B Into my OBD1 Converted 1990 Integra DA.

I've had about 4 integras all with DOHC's and it would be very unique to have a SOHC in there, possibly boost it later.
This isn't a speed monster just something to have fun with, and shock people when the hood is popped ..

So far I know that I need the following..

1.) D Series Driver/Passenger mounts.
2.) D Series axles (Not sure what year? Guessing they're all the same)
3.) D Series Shift Linkage (Should be long enough as you can use b shift linkages in EF's without modification.)
4.) D Series Engine & Trans (Duh, *I plan on running a cable ZC Trans*)
5.) D Series OBD1 ECU

Now I'm confused on the following.

1.) Rear bracket/mount? Should I use the D series? Will it bolt down on the DA chassis? (I'm thinking it should as EF guys use our rear bracket/mounts on B Swaps)
2.) Harness, will my Converted OBD1 harness for the LS work on the D15b?

*All in all it should be a pretty simple swap, basically a reverse B swap*

there's actually a SOHC DA model in Japan; its one of the lower end model DA's. I have pictures of this somewhere..

Anywho, you're gonna need custom brackets made for the tranny and rear engine mounting for sure. The rear engine mount can be reused I believe. To alleviate this, i would try to source out these exact mounts from the lower end JDM DA integra that runs a SLOHC.

If you're going to use a cable ZC tranny, you have to reuse the b-series DA axles (88-91 DOHC ZC trannys use 90-93 integra axles and has its own half-shaft); and depending on what year D15B you're going to use the ZC halfshaft may or may not bolt up to the backside of the block - so you should investigate this before doing this project, otherwise you're better off going with an 89-91 Si trans w/ZC final drive (if you have the resources to do this).

You're OBD1 converted harness should work fine with the D15 as long as the D15 has OBD1 components on it (ie. dizzy & injectors).

- SOHC linkage should bolt up fine
- 88-91 axles should be used if using w/cable SOHC tranny (i'm not sure if 92-00 SOHC axles are compatible, I'm guessing they might be)
- DA driver side mount maybe reused, but I'm sure you'll need to use the 88-91 SOHC bracket.
