so i figure out why my engine has so much movement
i've swapped many motors in the few past yrs and while i do a swap, i usually throw all my bolts and washers in a big bucket and just sort through them when i need it. today, while scanning through my helms manual, i realized that 2 lower engine mounts (tranny and ac mount) has a washer that was specifically meant for it (meant to fit over a 14mm bolt). whereas the ones i installed on my car were just normal washers. because i installed a normal washer instead, it did not allow the 19mm bolt to be torqued against the mount, therefore making it next to useless. Ever since i fixed it, i felt a considerable difference (not great) but enough to notice. I recommend for all you guys that did a motor swap in your car to double check that the washers you have installed on those mounts are the correct ones. they are suppose to fit over the 14mm nut.

What I do it is when I take off a bolt or a combination of bolts that go to the same thing I put them in a zip-lock bag and write on the bag what they are and where they go. That way you do not lose bolts and know where they go and I make note of one if it is longer and/or different and put write it on the bag.
