Re: Skunk two Racing Vtec ECU? (DB8)
I have a P28 ECU off a 92-95 Civic EX and it is chipped by Skunk2 racing. I have the redline at 9500 and VTEC engagement is at 5700. I like it a lot and I have had no problems with it so far. I am willing to trade it along with some cash for an OBD I GSR ECU because I want to make the ECU stock on my hybrid. By the way, I have a 2000 GSR in a 93 HB. With i/h/e, the ECU, no cat and some slicks, my best time was 14.8 in the 1/4 mile.

remember that the skunk2 ecu has no provisions for the secondaries on the b18c (GSR) motors....therefore either you remove them or run with their manifold which is a copy of ITR manifold....also i belive that the knock sensor is disabled on this ecu....which creates another problem....
other then redline is extended, timing and fuel is also optimized maximized....gains will vary.....

I chip both of these ecus and I have dyno tested them agianst stock ecu tables ... anywhere from 8-15hp at wheels can be had depending on mods to motor.
As for the guy looking to trade for stock P72 gsr, email me I have two.
Ok, to original poster, email also if you want my help to get your ecu done.

I guess it's the driver. I have only run my car on the track twice, my first run was in the low 15's, then my last run, I got 14.8. I definitely need the practice.

Re: Skunk two Racing Vtec ECU? (ToqureinTuner)
he should be more like high 13's with the slicks... my buddy is hitting mid 13's in a 92 eg with intake,exhaust,skunk2
manifold&cam gears, ctr cams, vtec controller... he still has stock cat and header... thats with full interior also... dont
sweat it, practice makes perfect...

True, practice does make perfect. I have already made plans to go to the track a couple more times. I'll let you know how the runs go.
