should I keep the gsr or get a h22
like the topic says I have a 97 gsr(which is running strong) but I want more power for cheaper than turbo and without making my car street illegal
I was thinking about a prelude swap and get if ref'd (I am not sure if h22 in a teg can be refreed). I want to get in to 13's without loosing reliablity and streetabilty.
my question is, Is it worth it to do the swap or is it easier to put some more money in my gsr (what mods can I do to the gsr to get it into low 14's or high 13's without loosing reliability)

Re: should I keep the gsr or get a h22 (GSRacer1)
Since you have the GSR in your car already, I would stick with it. But on the other hand the h22 has a nice powerband due to the torque.
Many will tell you that the B series motors has alot of aftermarket support, so its best you stick with it. I would not bother changing from a GSR to a H22 if I had a strong running GSR in my car right now.
If you really want to do it though, go for it man! Good luck with your decision...

You can hit low 14/high 13s and keep reliability. There is so much that you can do.
Type R internals, B16/Type R tranny, Skunk2 manifold with tuning is an example.

Re: should I keep the gsr or get a h22 (mixxed bboy)
get more agrresive cams, and stick with the GSR, upgrade your valvetrain, and get some high comp pistons...new IM TB etc etc....the GSR is too good to waste money on a swap. Its very formidable. U should hit 13's with maybe some weight reduction and the mods listed above.

Re: should I keep the gsr or get a h22 (Fragma)
I would but I want to go faster and
my whole reasoning for the h22 swap was, it was going to be almost free. after I sell my gsr motor and I am goin to get better than type r times without breaking bank or loosing reliability
