Nope. the LS fuel pump is the same thing as the EX one. The only cars that have a fuel pump that flows more are the VTEC motors. Maybe the CRV one too...but I'm sure that the LS is the same as the EX.

The LS is definately NOT the same as the EX.
DOHC pumps are twin screw, and SOHC are single screw pumps.
Change the pump.

Really? I've always heard that they flow the same. When I was looking for a fuel pump a month or so ago, everyone was saying they were all the same (vx, cx, dx, lx, ex, ls).

Re: should I change the fuel pump???? (B18C-EJ1)
so if my car runs good when I get on the throttle then there shouldn't be any problems with the fuel pump right it is supplying enough fuel for my engine to perform correctly??? My cra idles really low could this be a problem with the fuel pump being too small? I have tried adjusting the idle it just stays low tried cleaning the throttle position sensor if it still does it I am going to hav e to test it with a multimeter

well, if it makes you feel better, it's always good to upgrade the fuel pump. if you plan on doing other things to you motor along the way, you might as well upgrade to a GSR/ITR pump. Only like $50...

BTW, the CX/DX/EX/SI (not dohc)/HX/VX are all the same pump.
LS/GSR/ITR/prelude are the same pumps.
SOHC = Single pickup screw
DOHC = Dual pickup screw
I spent 2 months researching this at the Honda/Acura dealers.

just my experience:
i have a 95 Civic DX hatch with a B18B swap. It has over 7k track miles on it (FULL throttle!); stock original DX fuel pump. zero problems. never pings. if your LS motor is stock, you don't need to change the pump. btw, i am running the stock LS computer...
