Can I use any B-Series shift linkage for the swap? Or would I have to use the shift linkage for the OEM del sol DOHC VTEC models? I also hear you can possibly use the stock SOHC VTEC linkage with some modifications? If so, what are those modifications? Thanks in advance!

you'll need the del sol vtec linkage, it's differant than teg/si linkage.

Hey... ummmm i heard u hafta use the del sol shift linkage...

by the way.. this is off topic but... I have a del sol shift linkage.... and i need a b-series shift linkage... so i was wondering if you do have it.. would u be interested in a straight swap for the two linkages? i can take pictures and measurements to show you mines different from yours... if you're interested pm me or email me.. emailing would be better...

or unless can u tell me wehre to get a cheap b-series shift linkage then?

and im located pretty close to you too... so we can drive and meet up...

i talked to a guy about that while i was waitin to get my wiring done at a local shop and he said he cut the linkage a few inches back and welded them onto the right one for the other end but said its kinda hard to get into 5th GeAr he noticed on the freeway....i dont think i would go through with that. some people were telling me that since i had a vx i would have to weld mines too but i went to the junkyard with my linkage i got with the swap and it was totally different then the one they had so i bought theres and 10 minuts after being home i was driving outta the garagE. what year have u been told to use??

if you used the del sol vtec shift linkage, how would that affect the b18c items? would it at all? so basically, you could use the complete swap from a b18c, minus the shift linkage and substitute a del sol vtec shift linkage? problems? check engine light?

you are also gonna need new axels because the spindels are not gonna match up, place racing makes some pretty good axels, thats what im using, 178.00 an axel

from my understanding... there should be no problems with the engine light or whatever.. because...
it is just a linakge.. linkage is pretty much a rod.. basically.. from what i understand (someone correct if im wrong)
if you have a 5 meter car... for example... then you will need a rod that is long enuf from the engine to where you are sitting so you can shift...

and once again.. nope.. there shouldn't be any problems as long as its installed right...
