When i'm idleing setting at a stoplight in my b16a2 swaped into a 94 ex coupe the rpms seem to jump between 100 - 800 rpms ... also after i start the car and push it above 5k for the first time the check engine light comes on... however when i am going down the road it runs just fine except for the occasional sputter when i am not giveing it gas and the rpms are droping from a geardown/slowdown ... any suggestions guys? ... thanks for ya help.

whats the code on the check engine light?

maybe you have some sensors plugged into the wrong plug, such as the TPS & MAP sensor (they use the same plug)......or the EGR valve and IAT plugs.

Find out what the code is and that will more than likely tell you your problem.
