I have a 94 cx w/b16a swap.
I also have a complete 95 ls integra brake swap for front and rear.

My problem is that while i am coasting to a stop out of gear, i hear a ringing
noise like a bell ringing.
I lifted up the car up on lift and had the wheels
spining and noticed that the left side axle is moving side to side at the point where it slides into the intermidiate shaft making the noise.

My question is > is it the bearing in the intermidate shaft thats going bad (too much play?)
Is it possible that i have the wrong intermidate shaft?
Has anyone had this before??

i just had to replace my driver side axle and intermediate shaft on my car, the bearing on my inter. shaft were shot and had alot of play in them like you said.....which is probably what messed up the axle
good luck..you should be able to get a used. inter. shaft for 60 bucks shipped

Can you replace that carrier bearing in the Intermediate shaft?

theres a million pieces to that bearing, check out the diagram on acuraautomotiveparts.com, probably cheaper to just buy another used one

ive started to hear that ringing on my cx too... I dont care, Im not gonna get it fixed, hopefully it will become undrivable so i can get my gsr swap sooner than the summer.
