I've searched for quite some time, but can't seem to find this answer that I am looking for. Or should I say the question I am wanted answered..???? haha.

My friend purchased a 91 Crx HF with a b16a swap. The car was running funny. The car would die on the highway but then sometimes you'll be able to start it back up again. There aren't really any mods done to the motor. Other than basic BO's.

But I took the car to a shop, and they thought that maybe the Dizzy bearing was bad, and that he should just get a new dizzy. Which is exactly what I'm thinking. But he was really wanting to try and change the ignitor, and bought one to some crx d-series. Non-vtec.. Didn't work, car didn't start. So ya, he put the old ignitor in, now the car will just crank and and not start... so it's getting no spark.


I guess my question would be, is does anyone know of a different ignitor that will work with a JDM b16 dizzy OBD0??? and would a bearing or anything wrong with the dizzy cause RPM's to jump, then just sputter and die!? Randomly??
