Default Remember Me? Found out what happened with the H22 Hybrid Axle prob...WTF..

OK broke the axle clean off...RIGHT INSIDE THE TRANNY

How am I supposed to get the other piece out of the tranny....please don't tell me I have to take the tranny apart to get to that thing. This has to be a defect in the axle right? Its not supposed to break off that easily...i'm not making gobs of HP...I have a mildly modded H22. BTW these are raxles from raxles.com...time to call them up since they are supposed to have a lifetime warranty.

Also...since that piece broke off....would that cause harm to the rest of the transmission?

Maybe by removing the other axle and tapping on it with a long punch by the other hole....

Yo..I was wondering something about your H22 Teg swap: Did you have room left over to retain the A/C and Power Steering...and then..after that, is there still room left over for a nice turbo system?

Just wondering.... Glad that you have figured out the problem now...

ive heard **** about both DSS and RAXLES. they must not b heat treated parts. with the right heat treatment they would not snap like that. id buy some STOCK axles and hybrid them together.

If that doesnt work possibly get a drill, drill a hole in the axle while its in the trans, than get a bolt force thread it in the axle and pull that bitoch out hope that works

I got the other piece out....and then I went to a local cv joint shop and had them put on a OEM joint....I figure, if i go back to raxles and get a replacement...it would probably do the same thing. Thank for all the help people...I don't know what I would do without this board...best honda/acura site I know of

I used raxles.com for my hybrid axles and haven't had a problem with them. After having problems with 2 sets of oem axles I went and got the raxles and they have not been a problem since. I hope you figure out why they broke on you. It would be really interesting to see what happened.
