Default Rear tranny bracket question- EG/GSR swap

In the process of putting in my engine I noticed that the rear engine/tranny mount bracket didn't seem to fit my tranny too well-

In the pic you should see how one hole matches up with the threaded hole on the tranny, but the other hole in the bracket is about 1/2" off. Anyone know why this would happen? Did someone sell me an automatic bracket or something?
On a related note- what size are the bolts supposed to be that hold on the bracket?
I think my tranny was re-threaded somewhere along the line- the bolts that take a 17mm socket slide in easily and skip along the threads while a 19mm bolt is too big...and Honda doesn't use 18mm bolts.

Thanks
Ben

is it the stock bracket from your car or from the motor??? was the motor automatic??? need some more info on it, most likely, it's not the right one cause everything should bolt up. and bolt size is a 17mm...good luck!

I bought the bracket new, but without a part #. It was for a "B series" but it seems that the LS and GSR trannies need different brackets.
I did a bit of searching and apparently the bracket was for an LS tranny which has the bolt holes facing the driver's side 8mm closer together. I bought a 99-00 Civic Si rear mount, hopefully that'll do the trick.
Also- the bolts facing the driver's side are 19mm, the bolt facing the pass side is 17mm.

Thanks
Ben

The SI bracket will not work. You need a 94+ gsr integra mount. I tried it and it didn't work with a 99 si tranny in a 92 cx.

when i got my gsr swap they sent me a bracket that fit like that. When he replaced it he said that it was from a b16. Whatever...the new one he gave me he said he test fit on a type R and it fit fine. It fit my gsr tranny fine too.

All the 94+ Integra brackets are the same, so I'm not sure what car my bracket was for...I guess not a Teg despite what the seller told me.
In any case, I'm off to get a 94+ tranny bracket.

Thanks
Ben

That's not possible unless you did some serious modding for it to fit.

So you're saying that the stock 92-95 civic rear bracket won't fit a B series swap? Mine went in NO problem, and before I put it in I compared it to the B series one that came with my swap, and they were identical.

tranny passenger side bracket is the same for D and B trannies.
rear motor mount bracket that bolts to the tranny and firewall bushing is not the same.

My guess for this threadstarter is that he bought an autotranny bracket by mistake.
because people swaitch ITR and GSR and LS and B16 trannies all the time and DO NOT switch out the tranny rear bracket.

But if you go from D to B you need to use the rear bracket for the D-tranny-bracket for a D tranny and a B-tranny-bracket for the B tranny, because they are not the same.

All the 94+ Teg rear brackets are the same (auto/manual) according to Acuraautomotiveparts.com. Has anyone experienced a difference between auto and manual 94+ Teg brackets?

I have no idea what part I bought- I was told it was a B series rear bracket but who knows what it was.

Thanks
Ben

That's interesting, I checked the part number for the Delsol vtec, and the civic VX and the rear brackets are the same number. I'm not trying to start an arguement, I was just stating my experiance with the rear B bracket into a EG.

I thought I read that the Del Sol Vtec bracket will work but it sits the motor too low or something to that effect. Anyone compared how it fits with a GSR bracket?

Thanks
Ben

My motor sits fine. Never side by side compared the Delsol one to the GSR, but I would think they are the same, could be wrong.
