Rear of car sits too high after H22 swap? EG civic
As the title says pretty much. It is on stock shocks and springs all round at the moment. Im wondering whether I can just lower the back or do I need to lower the front also? The front isnt so bad, maybe a 40-50mm gap. The rear is about 150-200mm gap from tyre to arch.
I have some 40mm lowering springs which I could throw on. I know I should look to adjustable coilovers but im building this car on a budget from left over parts.
So my options are :-
A) Live with it / ask a fat friend to sit in the back
B) Just lower the rear
C) lower front and rear (although the front might not be able to be lowered that much)
I guess what im really asking is... has anyone else just lowered the rear? and if so... what was the outcome?
Im hoping a few people have come across this problem after fitting larger engines.
Thanks in advance

Re: Rear of car sits too high after H22 swap? EG civic
so the car is tilting towards the front after the h22 swap? hrmm.. common problem being that its a heavier engine.. since your on a budget, I would rather lower the rear or if your into the race looking civic, then just keep it the way it is. But I must warn you that you need to change to some after market suspension in order for it to handle your heavier motor. You stock suspension could lead to other problems in the future including alignment, camber kit problems, axel problems, tire rubbing, brake lines leaking etc..
