Really Weird Problem..98DX w/ B16
Hey guys, Im working on a friends car trying to get it running right, the rundown is a 98 DX with a B16A2, with a EX harness, and a OBD2A-OBD2B conversion harness running a P2T ecu. He bought the car already swapped.
The car was running fine, then took it to the paint shop and got it back and now the car dies. It cranks fine, then will run for a min and just die. At first it would loose spark so we put on a known good distributor, that didnt solve it. New plugs and wires, still same thing. Now the car consistently has spark but sounds like it is running on 2 cylinders and barley starts. Compression is fine as well. Im completely lost on what to check next...TIA

you can tell if its running on 2 injectors by putting your hand in the exhaust tip. If its running good it will flow smoothly, if the gas pauses for .5-1 second you might have a problem.

Easy way is to pull a spark plug wire (while the car is running). If there is no change, it is that cylinder is dead. If a noticeable change, that cylinder is good.
DO NOT ground yourself to the car.
CELs?

Jump the service connetor, it will still be a code 16 (curcuit) or a code 43
