Default Quick shifter question H22A related (will it work?)

For the past few years I have been using an Accord shifter in my car and am about to switch it with a Prelude shifter. These are both the old metal ones. I'm doing it because I'm sick of ripping my shift boots. It looks close enough where the placement goes for one of the cables. Only difference I can see between the 2 shifters is where the right-hand cable hooks up. On the Accord it goes off to the right, and on the Prelude, it goes up and to the center. My question is, are the cables the same length? From eyeing it up, it looks good to me. It would be nice if I can just swap out the shifters without the headache of swapping the cables, although I do have the Prelude cables in my trunk in case I need them.
