Questions about a mild build on a Bluetop H23A VTEC motor
Okay I have a Bluetop H23A vtec motor that I am about to drop in my EG 4dr with a B16 tranny (QSD) My plan is to drive around stock for a while then later on down the line I plan on putting in some type S pistons or Mahle 11.5(rumor is they are really 12.1 in h22s) to 1s with some pro 2s or tuner 2s. I want to be able to drive on 93 octane with a good tune safetly. Now my first Qs is I know I will gain about .5 compression from my stroke over the h22 and I also know I will have to machine the pistons down .020 so they will not come out over the deck I also know that I will have to shave the valve reliefs too (about .030) due too the bigger cams, not sure if I have to with the mahles but I know if I do I will lose some compression that I gained from the stroke depending. Basically after everything is said and done I want around 12. to 1, what pistons would suit me better.
Also could either of these pistons just drop in because I don't know anyone off hand that hones FRM sleeves my friend that normally does is has marble stones that are for iron sleeve.

If it were me I would save some money and mill the head .030 and fly cut the oem pistons.
