i found a sol, i like, the body and interior are exactly how i want them but it has a D16Z6 motor (older del sol) and i would prefer a B16A2 or B16A3 (came in the later ones). i'm definitely on a budget. but i was wondering how hard is it to do a swap? the motor pull i can do, but i'm concerned about the tranny, do they match up? How hard is the wiring set up? This is going to be an everyday going to work and school car but i do want a small extra kick above the rest. I have read some of the B16 mods posting and they sound intresting and feasible, but i still really want to keep the reliability going. i have a 88 CRX stock and it just hit 265,K and i love that kind of reliablity, so i don't want to much power where i'm blowing any heads or anything like that. so any after all that:
1) tranny match up?
2) difficulty in the wiring harness?

The tranny will not match up between the D Series and the B Series. Also best thing to do is to get the wiring harness from the exact motor you but in. The B16. That way you have what is needed.

You will need a new tranny though. Current will not work.
