Default Question about compatibility of CAMS between Bseries

I was just wondering if and how much if any gains one would expect to see by changing my Xsi/SIR II cams and cam gears out for some gsr or type r cams.

Also are all vtec bseries cams interchangable?

Just exploring options trying to stay all motor and get up to 250-275 whp....
im probably going to get some head work done and get new valves/springs p&p....
can this be done without upping my displacement? (anyone pushing a b16 that high on all motor without boring it out?)
thanks for the info in advance.

I highly doubt you will see anywhere near 250whp let alone 200whp without boring. You can do 200whp in a b16a, but it is very difficult, and I doubt you will get there with ITR cams...

you will lucky to get 200whp from a stock bore/stroke b16a,and it wont happen with type R cams.A friend of mine has gotten 230whp from a 2.0 b16a though with crane cams, and 220whp with CTR cams on the same engine.Any B series vtec cam will swap into any other B series vtec engine with no modifications, though upgrading the valvesprings is always a good way to assure nothing bad will happen at higher rpm.I suggest going with CTR cams,as theyre slightly bigger than ITR cams and are comparible to most aftermarket stage 1 cams.

Well i am eventually going to upgrade as much of the head as possible and max out my hp with every bolt on/system/fuel management before i touch the bottom end...then i will work on the bottom end next summer.
thanks for the input
