Default question for 93 hatch swapping h22 into it

Yeah I finally got there go my hasport mounts(EGH1) and dss stage 5 axles for my swap. My question is have a skunk 2 intake manifold, will it clear my firewall? I was looking at the engine bay and was thinking it might fit fine if I lower the brake lines that mount on the firewall. Can anyone help me?

when i've seen it in an EG the manifold hits the firewall. a little "modification" to the firewall and it should fit. try it and see..... thats the only way you'll know for sure.

I would stay you got a leak somewhere or a better gasket. Why wouldnt the skunk2 mani fit? You have a EG h22 hatch right?? I have the same but mine fit...course the motor was out when it was put it on though.....

well my motor was already in, we attempted to install it, but it's such a tight fit that the back of the manifold touches the brake lines on the firewall. We also attempted to beat the **** out of the firewall to push back some more clearance, but in order to avoid damage to my car I rejected that option, plus the EGR is mounted in the back of the manifold, wich makes it a even bigger pain to squeeze all that into a already stuffed engine bay.

The skunk2 manifold I believe is about an inch and half longer then the stock H22 manifold and in the EF/DA/EG/DC chassis the H22A room from manifold to firewall is limited. Only if the runners weren't sooo long Euro R manifold is inbetween the H22 stock manifold and the Skunk2 manifold as far as clearance between the firewall and manifold. So Euro R would be a better fit far as modification. Most to all aftermarket Throttle Bodies have the TPS spaced further back which also sucks for clearance.
