Question about brake set up for my hybird
I have a 92 vx and pan to swap out all my brakes. I the the front brakes off a 95 gsr and the rear brakes complete with e-brake cable from a 99 gsr. This is my question. There was a wrecked 93 integra RS in this junk yard by my house so I took the brake booster and proportioning valve from the car but I did not know if it will work. Also can some please explain to me what is meant when some says that the proportioning valve is 40/40? Thanks for the help

Well here is what I have - 94 Civic DX Sedan....installed a complete suspension and brake setup from a 95 Integra GSR.
If you go with Teg front and rear discs you will need a matching master cylinder and booster (they fit together as a set) that is 15/16" or larger (like the GSR 1" if I am correct). The 90-93 Integra has a 15/16" master cylinder and a decent-sized booster that will fit right up to your setup.
You will also need that Proportioning valve from the Integra as well.
Since the GSR is ABS, and you have a non-abs civic, the Master Cylinder from a GSR would require that the brakeline be from a 94-95 Integra RS - they don't have ABS and the line mates up properly to the Proportioner on your civic.
Now what your asking on the 40/40, I really don't know the designation, but I do know that any of the Integra brake setups have the proper proportioning to do what your wanting to do. Just make sure you have a large enough master cylinder and booster.

Yeah, the 40/40 has something to do with the proportioning properties of the valve. front/rear somethng like that. Good luck!!

Re: Question about brake set up for my hybird (EK22Tim)
Yeah I understand what you are saying man but, why is the proporting valve 40/40 or 30/40 not 50/50 or 40/60 or vice versa? I'm curious I underdstand now that the 40/40 proporting valve is the best for the full disc set up but I would just like to know what the numbers represent. Thanks again

There are 30/40 prop valves, those can be used too but none that I know will bolt to an EG. Currently I have the 96 ITR brake swap, I have the stock prop valve (like 20% to the rear) and I havent had any problems.
