Default Putting a 95 D16Z6 into my 00 Civic, why won't it start?

As the title states I put a 95 D16Z6 into my 00 Civic EX which had a D16Y8 originally. I swapped out the intake manifold, injectors and distributor. There was a sensor wire coming from need the crank pulley that the Y8 had, but the Z6 doesn't. I am still using the 00 harness and ECU so that wire is not connected.

Could this cause my engine to not start? The motor has probably been sitting for a year or so, so maybe that could be the cause too. I am lost on ideas and I need to get this thing running.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
