Default Puting together my own swap... Need your help, thanks!!! obd0 head??

Hello, I am putting together my own swap.

I have a 94 civic cx.

So far I have:

96 b18c1 complete short block
96 gs-r transmission
96 gs-r harness
integra axles and intermediate shaft

Now 2 things are missing: ecu and a vtec head

I think I am going to go with a b16a head. What if the head is obd0? obd1?

will it still connect to the harness?

Most likely I will get a chipped p28 to minimize the added wiring.

Thanks for your help

I would not recommend getting an OBD0 head, because the connectors are different, and you will need to do some converting to get it up to OBD1 specs and use it.

I would recomend you getting an OBD2 B16A2 or OBD1 Sir II JDM B16A head, which will also plug and play.

Cost is what got me thinking about obd0.... longblock goes for $500 from hmo

Ya true. But you will need to switch to the OBD1 type plugs such as VTEC plugs, KS and such, and switch fuel injectors, unless you have an OBD1 or OBD2 intake manifold.
