Is it possible to put a sohc f series in a 1990 civic?
Hello all I'm wondering if it is possible to put a sohc f series motor like an f23a in particular or any other sohc usdm accord motors as they have iron blocks and good numbers I think it would be a nice setup in a EF chassis (like my wagon)
if any one knows any thing about this swap mainly wiring information because i already know that you can use the hasport mount kit and I think axles you can use the hasport ones also yes?
Any information would be appreciated
Thanks

My best guess would be that wiring would be very similar to an LS swap.
Like any other hybrid you use the engine harness that came with your chassis and extend, zip tie, and shorten wires as needed. easy.

Re: (eklum)
Wiring is similar to a b-series swap and mechanically it's the same as an H swap.
There's no real advantage to knowing anyone who has done this specific swap IMO.

Correct just about all F engines will work with the H mount kit at most just have to have the right combo of driver side brackets and stud drilling and taping... PM me with questions I have just about done it all...

Re: (ESP.net)
no tapping at all the 92-96 prelude base models came with the f22 in them! you just need to go down to honda and order the f22 prelude driverside eng mount bracket that mounts to the block! i think mine cost me like 29 bucks and 2 out of 3 bolts lined up and i had to use an extra steel bracket that kicked off of the f22 bracket(part #14), i didn't have one so i stole the one off of an h23 bracket and it worked the same! making a total of 3 out of 4 bolts that lined up perfect. here's a pic: http://www.hondaautomotivepart...L+PAN, and you want parts 13 and 14 for an f22 eng in a prelude, and of course all related fasteners! this bracket is the one that has the same bolt pattern as an h22 mount and bolts to the f series block almost perfectly, w/the exception of 1 bolt hole! 3 out of 4 isnt bad i just used loctite on the bolts to be safe!
