b18c inside

While I was driving into work today I heard a popping noise coming from the engine area. It would pop during accelaration and decelaration. I'm not sure if it is an axle or just a loose bolt. We just replaced the clutch in it. I also just replaced the struts in the front with KYB AGX's. Could it be the suspension? It only does it while rolling with a load on the engine. That is what makes me think of an axle or something with suspension. My car is a 98 EK with a b18c if that helps any. Please help me!!!
