Default Poor man's type r questions.

So I have an em1 with bolt ons, and got it how I want it to look. Now I'm looking to get into the engine. I don't have a giant budget at all and have been looking into the poor mans type r. (gsr block/b16 head)

My main questions are basically what do I need at the minimum?
I was going to get the gsr block (obviously lol), itr cams, itr pistons, and hondata.

What crank and gaskets would I need? Does anyone have a link to a special thread? Thanks in advanced.

Search my user name then my threads and check out my build thread, some informative info there even though project is not complete, same car and same build though,

Keep the trans as our gearing is rad,
Gsr block,
Gsr crank,
Gsr rods with itr pistons, and arp rid bolts for gsr 9mm, make sure to have machine shop resize the rods after the bolts are installed

Pr3 head, meaning b16a or type r,
Type R's have a small hand port job also nothing extreme,
Itr cams,
Type r intake valves,(intake only as they are a pinch lighter to reduce valvetrain weight/mass,
At the very least go dual valve springs on the exhaust side,
Type r intake Mani and throttle body
Use your injectors, distributor, and harness

And also the little other things to complement but are listed as wants and not needs,

Type r flywheel and clutch,
Type r engine stiffener,
4.78 final drive and type r LSD installed in your trans.

Congradulations you now basically have an integra type r motor.

Best thing to do is research the differences between gsr and type r,
As there are extremely informative resources availible specific to this via a simple google search of "integra type r specs"

Thanks man I'll check into all that stuff and your thread. Are the rod bolts a complete must, to be taken to a machine shop?
