P30 running a GSR motor......better results?? NEED HELP
P30 running a GSR motor......better results??
No, I wouldn't do it.
1. It doesn't control the secondaries. Less low end torque
2. Not enough fuel.
3. If it ran better on a P30, honda would have equipped that the GSR with that ecu.

I did a search and found this. Is this true. thanks for the help

I am not sure what you are looking for. You posted a question, the posted a bunch of what were supposed to be answers I assume. Whats the question here?
1, No, it won't allow the secondaries to work. Big deal, yank the crappy intake manifold and put on a R one anyways.
2. The JDM P30 runs more fuel then a GSR ecu for about 80% of the map. Only slight changes come at the very top end at WOT. The GSR does run a couple degrees more timing on the high cam map though, but the P30 has considerable more timing on the low cam map. The US GSR's were supposeldy "detuned" by Honda to reduce torque steer around town.
3. Thats like saying "It didn't come with CTR cams, so they must be ****". I run a P28 in my car, does that mean its crap? Ecu's can be chipped and even if they aren't I have already pointed out that the differences between the two in question are not significant enough that it would cause any damage or severe loss in power.
