opinions? b16 positioned improperly?
below are a couple of pics from my cardomain, do you find that the b16 in this 90 civ sits closer than normal to the front rad support than normal for a swap with a hasport kit...? the passengers side axle sits on bit of a forward angle. maybe some of you have similar shots or can agree that this is normal. I realize my mani and all is quite tight in there, but I'm mainly concered about engine position. other shots of this car are in my last page of my sig below.

What mount kit is that? The engine almost looks like it is crooked. The drivers side of the engine looks to me like it is closer to the radiator support than the passenger side.

Re: (paul vang)
well it looks to be the right mount, should it not be an interga 88-92 engine mount for the drivers side? the rear and passengers side went in ok....

The engine side bracket should be from a 90-93 teg. Do you know exactly what year you got the drivers side mount bracket from? That might possibly be your problem. keep us updated

Re: (hondaguyef)
well I did some measureing tonight.... turns out to be almost an optical illusion. the mount is from a 91 teg (drvs side).
I took two matching holes in the front on top of the headlights (upper rad support area) and from one end to the other of the head/valve cover it was 3mm-4mm off. not too bad. I forgot to mention I had to reweld in a new tranny mount on the passengers side b4 this project started.... the previous owner did an old style b16 swap with the use of other tranny frame mounts. so I may have been a bit off on my install of the OEM tranny frame mount. I thought I got it quite accurate. but no one knows the history of the car. we'll see how it goes .
