Default OK...help me decide what to do with my $$$

i have 3,600 left for my project civic, i haven't really had the chance to do anything to the car yet, but of course the engine is first. I have pretty much narrowed my options to B16A + Greddy turbo kit or JDM B18C + bolt ons. OR maybe i was thinking of just the B16A, then putting the rest of the $$ into suspension and brakes.

Scratch the b16 and go anything b18. I promise. I have a buddy here in fort worth a fully built b16 bored out to 1.9 but he still did'nt get what he wanted out of it. He said he wouldn't advice b16 because they are a little sluggish with turbo. Torque wins a race. I would advise with my own experience. dont go b16. Stick with bigger displacment. I think LS is the best once a little more work is done to them and the parts are cheap. My buddy has a monster on his hands. His ls beats most gsr's easy it has super cams in it. and if you have 3600 you should be able to buy a ls swap for 2g's at the most then can buy some mean cams and high compression pistons or that's enogh to do a ls-vtec set up correctly But most of all set out your plan know what you want to do. I was having the same problem. I wanted to go turbo but im not willing to spend he money on a motor and it not be reliable. So im going into an all motor monster. Just know what you want to do and you'll get it but like i said go 1.8liter. you'll love the torque.

save up more for an itr swap and leave it stock. better valvetrain, pistons, crank...all the internals are better and you get an lsd.

B16A and turbo...
240whp with a conservative 6psi ....what else can I say...
IMO there is no replacement for turbo....

Trust me you will love it...n/a thats a different story

h22! bigger is better. full swap 2000 from me, that leaves you w/enough to start a nich n/a or n2o build up. or a start on a turbo setup.

dang that was like a pop-up ad.

yeah right it will cost me more than a GSR swap after everything is said and done...i was considering it, but i'd rather go with something more bolt in.

pop-up ad, lol. how will it cost you more? i have EVERYTHING, shifter, linkages, starter, alternator. brand new timing belt. you would only need a mount kit.

anyway good luck w/whatever you decide.

there is way more horse power to be given with bigger displacement. No if and's or buts about it. I dont remeber that saying but you cant replace displacement.

Replacement for displacement is vtec!

Hmm b18c sounds nice if you have the money for it. Ive heard bad things about b16a and turbo, big reliability and maintenance issues.
