Oil Pressure Switch Problem on LS/VTEC /Low Oil Pressure - PLEASE HELP!!
okay, i've just finished building an ls/vtec in a 92 cx running a chipped p28. everything worked out fine except it's throwing a code 22. i've traced back all the wires for the signal and ground for proper connections and even replaced it with another switch i had lying around. i grounded it on the motor but my friend wired the vtec signal wire to the orange and blue wire on the big connector that connects the engine harness to the harness that runs to the ecu(passenger side). it was wired up this way before when i had my old b16a in there and worked fine.
i've read where you can "bypass" it and run a wire from a4 to d6 on the ecu but i'm concerned on the oil pressure reading being at only 60 psi when you crank it. could it be the oil switch on the back of the block throwing the code or is that just for when you're really low on oil?
what psi is supposed to be normal for when you first start the car, warm idle, cruising, and while in vtec? i don't want to bypass it if there's actually a real problem.
also, if you try to rev the motor a little, it hesitates as if it's possibly not getting enough fuel, i'm not sure. it's currently running on stock injectors, b&m fpr, and a walbro 255 pump. what psi should the gauge be at?
i know it's a lot of questions, but i've taken my time to build this motor and don't want to screw it up in any way. if someone could host for me, i can post a sound clip, if needed. thanks for your help in advance!

What oil pressure did you run before while cranking, that certainly doesn't sound low for cracking oil pressure. As for the codes and the wiring probs, I don't have any advise, beings I still use a chipped PR3. My LS/VTEC runs about 60-70 psi at idle when the engine is cold. Hope this is of any help to you.

pressue drops to about 30-40 psi when the engine is warm, and runs about 70-80 psi at all rpm above idle.

so your oil pressure only drops to about 30-40 when it's at warm idle? isn't that a bit high?
