oil leak after ls vtec build...HELP!!!!
ok this is driving me crazy. i really feel like an idiot asking suck a stupid question like this on here. anyways, its a p30 oil pump on a b18b1 block. now it looks like the leak it coming from the oil pan where the pump meets the block. i also had one at the crank seal but thats gone now after i took that apart for the 3rd time. i have tried many new gaskets and the latest one is even a honda one that i paid 55 bucks for. followed torque sequence and spec. even used honda bond at the edges. i have tried what seems like everything. i even took out the pvc valve because i just wanted to vent that crank case as much as i could temporarily. so im still missing something. any ideas? next im going to rip off the pan and just use some black gasket maker i have. screw the honda oil pan gasket. ill use brake cleaner on the mating surfaces.

i had a similar problem. I was missing a tiny o-ring, like the size of a quarter on the oil pump. Put one in and i was golden
