OBDII H22 in EK...ecu questions
i have a p72 teg obd1 jun ecu in my h22 civic. i need a stock ecu becuase nysi needs to read the obd2 plug to pass inspection...and thus i cannot. does anyone know what ecu would work to pass emissions?? i understand that the p5m prelude ecu has an immobilizer so thats proly out of the question. im gettin a p28 obdII ecu. im gonna try that. does anyone know if this will work? another thing is i have VAFC which is spliced into the stock harness at the connectors to the ecu...will this affect the inspection or throw a code?

Re: OBDII H22 in EK...ecu questions (oni3)
lol...throw away vafc...yeah i bought the car with it installed in the dash, so i dont really want to take it out, plus i like the dig. rpm readout like i said b4, the p5m ecu has immobilizer and i dont know how to get it to work. if someone knows how to remove the immobilizer without getting a cel info would be appreciated(allready searched but know detailed instructions on how to do it)

If the vafc effects it, just cut it at the harness and solder it back when its all done.
I dono if it does effect it but wait till you get a second opinion.
Also, Try finding out if the immobilizer is disabled or removed, if it would effect your inspection or not. Hope I helped
