Default ObdII B18B swap into 95 si.

My question is this: I can get an obdII ls swap for a good deal, and wanted to know if I could just use an obdI ls ecu and not have to change everything else to obdI. Because the engine harness looks like it will plug right into the three plugs on my shock tower. Thanks in advance for your reply. Also I did a search and found this to be true with vtec engines (from b18c5-eh2), but found nothing that answered my question about non vtec engines.

WRONG.
Dont spread mis-information.

You can infact plug the entire obd2 ls swap into your civic (including the obd2 wiring harness).
All you need to do is get an obd1 ls ecu and plug it in.

I have personally done this. I had a '98 ls swap in my '93 cx hatch and that is exactly what I did. Worked great!

Slopoke: hey i just did one of those, kinda...it was a 96 ls engine into a 95 lx...we used the stock harness and plugged it into the ls harness on the engine. then we plugged the stock harness into a 94 ls ecu. ran great, up to 5750-ish rpms...we used an external tach (the kind that senses the pulses running through the plug wires) to see if the dash tach was off and it wasn't. we double checked that it was the right ecu and it was...any idea? someone told me it might be something with the distributor...
