OBD2 car + OBD1 motor= extra harness hanging! HELP!
its been a few months since i have had my swap, and until now i just discovered that there's an extra wire harness hanging in the engine bay (call me stupid). here's the setup.
'95 jdm b18c
'99 civic hatch cx
wire harness converter (obd2 to obd 1 ecu)
i understand that my distributor has one harness because its obd1. the car supplies 2 harness connections because its obd2. is it bad to have that one extra harness hanging?
i HAVE noticed that my car idle's kinna funny and i have lost a lot of power. i can barely keep up with a base rsx. something's not right. does anyone know of a harness converter to use that 2nd plug? or do i not need it at all?
or should i just buy an obd2 distributor and use it with obd1 ecu..will that work?

When you say the distributor has 1 harness...I are you refering one plug? The OBd1 distributor has 2 plugs. Are you throwing any codes?

i dont really understand what you mean by extra harness hanging there. if your talking about a few extra plugs then no worries. obd-2 has alot of **** you prolly took off when doing the swap. If not codes then everything is wired in right. before buying anew dist. by a cap, rotor and change your plugs. also change your oil. youll be surprised what this can do sometimes

the extra plug has 4 wires
black w/green
black w/gray
black w/yellow
gray w/red
came off the same central harness group as the other distributor plug.

Sounds like the secondary 02 plug...you shouldn't need it if you are running an OBD1 ECU.
I would do a tune up (cap, rotor, plugs and wires) and that should take care of it, if you haven't done it already.
Heres the colors for the 2nd 02:
black/yellow
green/black
black/white
white/red
The white might LOOK grey due to dirt, etc. but pyull the factory loom back to expose fresh wire then check it again.

Yes, But it will not bolt up, you will have to make brackets for it to work.
