OBD1 to OBD2 for BAR
im swapping in a 00 ls motor but i have a 95 civic. i want to just run a ODB1 ecu using a obd2 to obd1 jumper but i would need to run the ODB2 ecu to pass the bar. is there anyway to temporarily wire up the odb2 ecu just for the bar and switch it back to the obd1 ecu?

if you run the obd1 to obd2 wiring harness you cant pass the bar
they check what codes youre running and that jumper will bypass your o2 and knock sensors
you have to convert your whole car to obd2
thats what i had to do..new oil pump, alternator, injectors, wiring harness, ecu etc etc..
just dont get pulled over =x

Why don't you just run an OBDI intake manifold/injectors/valve cover, cut the Crank sensor wire off so nobody can see it, then run an OBDI P75 and tell them that you blew the head gasket and got a replacement head from an 00. They will see an OBDI set up, but the stamp on the head will indicate OBDII, so just lie to explain the OBDII head.

thank you. he's on the right track,
you can swap in an OBD2 motor, just get all the OBD1 peripherals and swap them onto the motor, then install. you will still be OBD1, just OBD2 short block. you will have less wiring issues and it will pass visual.
yes, it is kind of expensive, but if you want it done legal and correct, that is the way to go. good luck

that's right, you don't have to pass OBD2 level inspection just becuase you have an OBD2 compatible motor. You can always put newer engines in older cars, but not the other way around. If you go OBD2 you'll have to hook up a secondary O2 sensor after the cat as well as the crank sensor. Blah!!! Don't do that.
