OBD1 conversion for b16 in EF...
I am putting in a 2nd Gen b16 into a 90 Civic Si. I have a 2nd gen motor with a 1st gen cable tranny. I also have the OBD-1(gray plug) engine harness that came with the engine. I need to know which dash harness will be best for this swap. I know there is no one harness that will work, it will have to be a hybrid harness, since I am converting a non-OBD(white plug) car into a OBD-1 car. And NO, I don't want to use 1st gen injectors and distributor! I know that will work, but it won't pass the SMOG REF. If I change it to OBD-1, I can smog it as a Del Sol. I think the harness from 92-93 Integra might work, with minor modifications. That is probably the best
bet. I am talking about the harness that plugs into the ECU and goes through the firewall to connect to the engine harness. I think a OBD-1 harness form a Civic or Integra might work also. Has anyone done this before? Ifyou have, let me know which dash/ECU harness you used. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....

Trying to use a different dash harness just makes for alot of headaches. You will ned up having to deal with stuff you never thought of, like trying to connect the harness to the HVAC controls, dash lights, fuse box, etc. Save yourself alot of headaches and just modify your existing dash and engine harness to run your motor.
