OBD1 B16 in to 98 civic problems
Well, I'm putting an OBD1 B16 in my hatch. I'm using an obd2a harness, with the engine side plugs switched to obd1plugs (ie alternator, distributor, etc), and running an obd2a>obd1 jumper harness to run my p30.
Now, here's the problem, the main relay fuse in the underhood fuse box keeps blowing as soon as the car sees ignition. The car will still crank, but the fuel pump doesn't prime. I have tested the main relay and it is good. I cut the white black coming from the fusebox to see if it was shorting out between the main relay, ran a new line, and still the same thing. I cut the yellow/green fuel pump lead coming off the main relay, and still the same thing. I cut the yellow/black lead that goes to the ecu, and the fuse didn't blow any more. I ran a new line from the main relay to the ecu (pin a11 on the obd2a harness) and it pops still.
I'm stumped and incredibly frustrated. Any one have any input?

the rule of thumb i have sworn by (with 1 exception that i can think of) use the harness from the car and make that work. you have a big can of worms now and with the engine being in the car makes it a little harder.
