Default obd 1 LS/2000 CIVIC

Hi, i swapped an ls into my friends 2000 civic ex. we used the ex engine harness on the ls engine and converted to an obd1 at the ecu. i took the dizzy guts from the ex (cause it plugs in) and installed into the ls dizzy case and was sure to swap the shaft aswell. the car runs with no cel codes. any sensor i un plug throws the correct code. the problem is it has a constant idle at 3000 rpm. ive got the ex harness which has the small 8 wire dizzy plug where the dohc b series ive heard require the 9 wire dizzy plug. like found on the 2000 si and any ls obd 2 dizzy. i have an 98 hatch with crvtec swap. i used a 98 ex vtec harness and an obd 1 conversion. easy......
i think the obd2b harness' in the 99 and 2000 civics wont work with b series swaps.
do i need a 2000 si harness or can i just run another wire to my modded 9 wire dizzy
has anyone had this problem

yea i replaced the iacv and cleaned it up good, cleared the lines. i also ran the missing wire from my distributor to the ecu. the 99 and 00 civic harness (except for the si w/ the b16) only have 8 wires at the dizzy instead of the 9 you usually have. the missing wire is the VSS or SPEED OUT PUT. you know, where you pull the tach output on your dizzy.
any way added the missing wire and it did nothing. does anyone know if i need the 2000 si harness in this 2000 civic ex to swap an ls into it.
