not your typical b16 v. lsvtec
this is a question for the b16 v. ls vtec, not your average question like which one is better thats obvious. so heres the deal my friend has a running ls with new stage 2 clutch lightened flywheel, not sure on the milage but he wants to trade me for my b16 that is jumped to obd1 and he would cash me out 200 dollars and another friend has a gsr head that is setup for an ls vtec. he never used it because he became to lazy all it needs is cam caps and intake manifold. i can get all the parts together for under 200 for that head and its all ready mildly builf with new cams and cam gears and springs. but the dilemma is to get rid of my b16 sure its slower then an ls vtec but should i part with a motor that i just learned everything on? and sure i can build the b16 and the b16 has lower miles, which one should i do? keep my first motor and build it or get the ls and go vtec?

cam caps? hmm, don't you need to linebore if you lose the caps that came with the head? i think so...
are you staying NA? if so, you can def try the lsvtec, but otherwise i'd simply boost the b16...
what car is this in and how much does it all weigh? what do you do with the car?
