Default Not revving past 4700 RPM

I have a 97 EK with gsr swap and it's not letting me rev pass about 47000rpm.
It kicks it back down and feels like there's a rev limiter on it.
Any advice?

okay I just checked the VSS, it's hooked up, but how do I check if it's good or not.

I remember when I did the swap, coolant got in where the sensor where you plug it in.

Speedometer works, I just checked the codes on my car and it's throwing code 22. I guess Vtec not engaging.

Code 22 is vtec oil pressure switch check to see if plugged in or something wrong with your wiring

The only code i'm getting is a code 22.
The car starts fine, timing is checked, VSS is checked.

it could also be your distributor...i remember when my cousins b17 distributor went bad he couldnt rev it past 4000rpm.

if you're getting a 22 CEL, try testing that sensor or if you have another VTEC solenoid replace it and see if that works

if you have any friends with vtec cars, see if you could borrow it off one of their cars to see if that is the problem. They are know to be faulty, but you should still be able to rev the car past 4700 rpms on the non-vtec lobes

If you had a bad ground, wouldn't the car not even start?

Either way check them out just to be safe. Remove all dirt and corrosion around the contact points.

Got it figured out, I wire the Vtec Pressure to the wrong pin.

Works fine now.
