Default Noobie with some questions

Specs: 98 civic hx, 94 jdm gsr engine: i/h/e, lightweight crank pulley/flywheel.

I want to get a set of skunk 2 stage 2 cams for my car. I know I will have to get springs/retainers etc. I know I will need cam gears. Will I need anything else for these cams to work well? What I am wondering is do I really need vafc or similar for tuning?

What is the cheapest way to get rid of the speed limiter? Without losing v-tec or anything like that.

I have 2.5 inch custom bent exhaust with a v-force muffler. Is this setup alright for my car? From what I've been reading the exhaust diamater may be a little to large.

I've got an "ebay special" lightweight crank pulley. Is this bad for my crank or any other part of my engine ?

I know all of these topics have been talked about before but I want to have specific answers to my setup. Any and all help is very much appreciated.

Thanks

I second that.Use the stock balancer and cam gears and use the money for the Hondata.

What would you recommend for a crank pulley, I would like it to be lightweight. Also where is the cheapest place to get it?

Anyone out their who can answer any of those other questions??

Raced a 99 prelude the other night with intake and catback. I had him by out 2-5 carlengths at 100 mph. I thought he would have done a lot better being he comes stock with 200 horsies stock. I guess it was because be weighs like 400 lbs more and redlines at like 6800. I had about a car lenghts on him shifting into third. Once I hit third I took a couple more car lenghts on him and then shut her down. First real race(if you want to call that real). My start sucked so bad. I probaly bounced it off the rev limiter 5 times before I got traction and took off.

Alright I'm going on and on.

Thanks for help on the crank pulleys,

Just use the stock pulley(balancer). Its real cheap because you already own it.Light weight pulley will not give you any more power.

unorthodox racing makes these. use at your own risk. they have been blamed for screwing up people's blocks. my buddy has one on his GSR, no problems so far.

wrong. stock ludes make peak power around 7400-7600 (stock tach is flaky) and fuel doesn't cut off until slightly past 8000 rpm. I would still give you the handicap in that race.
