Non-vtec chip in p28 ECU, will it work?
Im going to be taking my Vtec head off for a short time. Can I just put a Non-vtec aftermarket chip in my chipped p28? Or can I run a LS head with a Vtec program?

care to explain why?
It would be pointless to "chip" a P28 to nonVTEC specs if it were possible. Just get a nonVTEC ECU to run the motor, much simpler and cheaper.
An LS head will not fit a DOHC VTEC block without the reverse mods that it takes for an LSVTEC. I'm assuming that you have a DOHC VTEC motor. It defintely will not a SOHC VTEC block.

Ummm....I have a B20Vtec. I need to take my built Vtec head off for a short time. Im going to put one of my many LS (b18b) heads on for the time being. Right now I am running my B20Vtec with a Mugen chipped p28 ECU. I do not have a p74/75/06 on hand to run, nor do I want to buy one for the time being. I am just curious how the chipped p28 ecu will run my b20 (with the LS head).
Edit: This will only be for a short time, until I get my new motor/head put together and in my car. At that time I will also be using hondata.

just groudn your vtec pressure switch wire and leave vtec solenoid wire unplugged ... it'll ahve a code 22 and 21 but it'll still run fine
