Default No reverse after H22 swap

I just helped a friend of mine put a H22 out of a '97 Prelude into his '95 Civic hatch, and at first start up it ran fine. The second or third day he was driving it, the transmission decided it didn't want to go into reverse. Whats so strange about it is it worked fine, then just wouldn't go in out of the blue.

It just feels like something is blocking the shifter. We disconnected the cables from the top of the transmission and tried to get it to go into gear by moving the things the cables connect to on top the tranny, but still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

The fork thing inside of the tranny that moves you into reverse may be damaged (it's somewhat prone to that).

Also sometimes my tranny won't go into reverse, but if I shift into first, then go back to reverse it will go in for me. If you haven't tried that, give it a go.
