Default No power in VTEC

I recently swapped a 99' GSR engine into my 90 civic. I runs fine but when I hit VTEC it has no power. I can hear the engagement but it stops accelerating. The ecu is a Phearable p28, rywire harness. The green plug isnt plugged in on the vtec solenoid but the grey one is. There are no CEL's and the clutchis good. Any ideas?

That's the pressure switch you have disconnected. I would check the mechanical timing first.

Okay. Would it feel ok at low rpm though if the timing was off. It pulls right up to the engagement point then falls on its face

u have to have the pressure switch and vtec solenoid wired right for vtec to engage how about just plug the green wire in.

Thats your problem, your not hitting vtec until you wire that up.

works fine for me ......

but if you don`t have any check engine lights you don`t need this bypass trick...
or you already have it done.
