A B20B would be better for boost, lower comp.

You can kill anything if you try.
the b20 is a good base motor for boost, its been done before very successfully.

Been there, done that over 2 years ago. It was a very fast setup with a GSR tranny, and boosting 11 psi on a big T3/T04E turbo in a gutted EG hatchback. Fun on the freeway .

new thought?
you mean new to you maybe....?
Newman among others had done this years ago and in fact the stock B20 is an excellent choice for a budget turbo setup... no joke. Nowadays with Hondata as powerful a tuning device as ever, its amazing what you can accomplish with a stock B20 and a well put together turbo kit when tuning with Hondata.
HELL YEAH!

Best time was a 11.6 @ 119 mph on 22x7x13 slicks (car weighed 1821 lbs w/out me), and that was after 4 passes.... first being a measily 12.5 on the same setup but once you get the launch down, then it's gone. Same with a H22A setup... until you get launch and traction part down, you're going to lose a full second or more easily.
The setup itself was fun and very fast.... could easily walk away from new C5 vettes on the highway (and that was about when they first came out). Only real problem that I had with the setup was the stock MAP sensor would see some boost every now & then at 11 psi, so I don't think my missing link was sealing properly on my TB. Other than that, it was fast, it was fun, but the feel of a high comp "big block" all motor setup is a little more to my liking .

**The missing link sucks... that's why your map was seeing boost.
I have a similar post in the FI forum looking for opinions and some people chimed in to let me know about the B20's weakness in boost... not crvtec either.
The sleeves apparently don't hold up too long under moderate to high boost (for a stock engine). As I have been considering swapping my gsr engine for a b20/turbo setup.... but I'm still holding out for more opinions from turbo b20 guys... it's been done many times... just like about everything else these days.

Over the last year or two I have seen times between low 15's to low 14's for B20's in eg's.

what bout a built b20z bottom end? Havnt decided on sleeves but je 9:1 slugz and maybe GE sleeves i want a dependable 15+ psi daily driver. I run just the b20z now with i/h/e no cat and 9lb flywheel it goes good. I could imgaine pumpin 20psi into a built b20.
