Default new swap running hot? temp gauge is fine

when i drive and look at the temp gauge it is right in the middle... i stop feel the exhuast coming out of the rear pipe and it is HOT as hell.. .and open my hood and cant even touch the valve cover cuz its so damn hot... i have i/h and just got he swap running yesterday so am i worrying too much? i do have CEL's ill check those out later...

I'd say that it's fine since your temp gauge says it is, but then again I'm not sure. I guess just make sure that your gauge reads right, and definitely check those CEL's. Also, how long has the car been running when it is "hot as hell."

Thats a b16 motor for you . They all stay hot as hell! Plus the hot summer weatehr adds to that . Id say its fine .

what you need to do to test if you bleeded correctly is to warm up the car to normail operating temp. now feel both upper and lower radiator hoses coming from the radiator. the top will always be hot, and so should the bottom if you bleed correctly. if the bottom is cold, then you need to bleed again.

yeah..my **** is hot as hell too...i cant even criuse at 4000 rpm on the highway..cuase it creeps up slowly..but driving normal its fine...i say get a teg. or delso rad. i'm getting an ITR one so i hope that works out..i also have a b16
