New here with questions about b20 swap into 91 civic.
Hey guys, I could really use a hand.
OK, I have a 91 civic with a b20 out of a 98 cr-v, with an obd-0 pr-4 computer. Has Aem intake, dc header, b18 intake manifold out of 91 integra, clutchmaster lightweight flywheel with stage 3 clutch, 92 gsr cable tranny, has oil temp-oil pressure and air fuel gauges, as well as a large aluminum aftermarket radiator and fan.
I've had a couple vtec motors and blew em' up and now am trying the b20 for now. My questions are as follows:
1. After starting and warming up, the car begins to slowly go from lean to rich as well as effecting the idle speed. It was showing code 6 on the ecu (ect sensor) and I checked it and the wires were tweaked so I fixed them and reset the ecu and now the check engine light has gone off but the problem still exists. The 02 sensor is newer and I doubt that would be the problem. Anyone have any ideas on what to check next?
2.We have the timing set a 16 degrees with premium fuel, how much timing can you generally get away with at 3500 ft. elevation? Anyone dyno the difference between say 16 and 19 degrees?
3. I have an adjustable fuel regulator, what do you guys generally set the pressure at? I know it's variable on the setup but I'm jsut shooting to get a basline idea.
4. What is considered a safe rpm to run a b20 to? Still has stock head for now..
