I have a an obd1 94 h22 in an 99 civic hatch. My friend did the wiring and followed the diagram on the sticky. He didn't wire up the egr but I have searched and it seems that you don't really need it to run. We are using my stock dx harness with a jumper.

So whats the problem? Well the damn thing won't turn on half the time. Also when it does it wants to turn it self off when you gas it. I can get in the car and drive it in first but if I gas it it will die off until I let off the gas. I'm sure there could be several problems but what are the usual problems people run into when following the diagram in the sticky. Thanks alot for any info you can give me.

I dont know the problem but I have a harness that has been converted for a h22 from my 96 ex fi your interested

i have sort of the same problem with my h22 in my hatch but instead of it dieing when i gas it, itll die when i let off the gas, im still trying to figure out what it is though

Have you checked your valves? I had the same sort of problem and I had bent valves.

1. Try adding additional grounds.
2. Check and make sure all your vacuum lines are connected and not pinched.

Thanks alot everyone. I'm going to check the vacuum lines. I have the valve cover ground and the tranny ground where else needs to be grounded?

did you cross your map sensor and your tps? i know it sounds stupid, but i put a jr supercharger on my civic a while ago and had the same problem. turned out the tps and map sensor have the same connector. its worth a try

not stupid i did the exact same thing taking a supercharger off and putting the intake manifold back on.

Any codes? Get the codes if you have any and do a compression check.

I gave up on doing the wiring myself since its my only car and I need it as soon as posible and my friend hacked it to ****. So my car is at Intercrew Autosalon in Dallas. Its a 3 1/2 mile drive from my down but they do really good work with h22. The car is running but doens't have any power. I'm going back tomorrow/ this morning in a couple of hours to check up. I'm getting an exhaust put on and a dizzy. Wish I new what to do but its my only car and I need it running. I did the swap my self so I'm happy for my first swap. Once its running perfect I'll try to make another harness just so I'll know what makes what work. Thanks alot for the help and wish me luck.

what kind of injectors? did u wire up a resistor box (correctly?)

the injectors from the h22......no the resistor box was done totally wrong. Phillip from intercrew did a good job and has my car running good.
