alright so i dropped my motor in ( 00'h22a4) into my 92 hatch and so far the wiring has been ok and everything, but when i got to bolting my half shaft up i noticed that the bolts are different and they dont line up. Im using a 94 vtec half shaft so i thought that that was the problem but i soon realized that i had a type sh block on my hands. Since the engine is in and shifter assembly is hooked up wiring is done, theres really no way to turn back and drop my old motor in so i need help finsihing it off. Has anybody out there put a type sh engine into there civic? Im using hcp mounts and had jdmsh!t make me custom axles for the swap. Is there anyway i can finish the swap off without changing trannys or engines? I need to get the car up and running as soon as possible but the half shaft and axles are the only thing holding me back...PLEASE HELP!!!!!

would it be ok to cut and modify the regular half shaft to work?

hey thanks for the link, i might give that a try. could i still use the tranny that came with the engine or do i have to swap it out?

You talking about the ATTS trans?

I dont think the atts tranny would work with your swap in your 92 hatch. I think the only way to really get around this is to get a different tranny.

whats the difference between the atts tranny and the base model tranny?

Yeah, I think you're gonna need a new tranny. I doubt it'll work with the ATTS.

how does the atts tranny feel?

I think I had the same problem
what I did was take the 1/2 shaft off the tran
the top left hole allmost lines up so I cut the hole open so you can bolt it on
the top right hole i didnt use
the bottom hole i made a small plate bolted to it to the 1/2 shaft , the other end i bolted to the threded hole down to the left about 1 1/2" away.

hey thanks for the help, but what i ended up doing was making my own bracket from a 1/4 thick sheet of metal, i finally got to start it up the only thing left to do is get my exhaust done and chip my ecu

i was going to do that but when you have 4 months of winter you get time to play
