Need some help on new build
Hey guys I'm Ryan I'm not new to hondas. Just new to H-T.com I'm a mod on another accord forum so I know how this works. Search be4 you post...but I just can't find the answer I need to know(been searching for 2days with no luck) So that’s why I'm here. I know my way around honda cars..especially the cb7's.
I'm in the works of a new build for my cb. It's not the easiest of a build since I am interchanging allot of F and H series parts into this engine.
I am working on turning my f22a into a 2.0 dohc vtec engine.
Everything is all fine and dandy for the h22 head swap that was the easy part. Now I'm down to adding my f20b crank rods and pistons to the block. But after doing my math I'm coming up with this:
10:9:1 c/r
1997.4cc displacement (2.0l)
4.70cc piston dome
31mm cmpression height
and -0.20in piston sticking out of the hole. This is the part kinda bothers me b/c I'm sure that now the valves will come in contact with the pistons. So is there anyways to correct this without any machine work? I'm still waiting on my f20b pistons/rods and crank from my friend in the mail. I got all of it for 100bucks so I could not pass up the deal...if anything if I cannot make this work I can resell the parts to get my money back out of them. But I would really like to make this 2.0l work. All in all I would only have about 300bucks into the build vs. 2k for a f20 or h22 swap.
So if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx in advance
-Ryan
