Need Serious Help picking what wiring harnesses 99 EM1 Civic Si HELP PLEASE
ok so here is the deal, I have a 99 civic si shell, An AEM EMS for that car, and an Obd2 GSR integra motor fully built. Im going to eliminate the sunroof with a carbon fiber plug, replace the doors with DX stuff (manual windows, manual locks), I have APR manual carbon fiber mirrors too. The way things stand I have NO wiring what-so-ever. I need to know to make this all work what harnesses do i use for each part (engine, dash, cabin, etc.) and even though it sould be posted in WTB I do also need the harnesses, and DX door stuff...PLEASE HELP

Honestly, I would use a stock 99 Civic Si complete harness. That would be the easiest.

I agree that the easiest would be a 99-00 Si harness, otherwise you would have to adapt another one. With the DX, EX, etc. the littlle green jumper on the passenger side by the ECU is different and wont fit.

Re: (cruizinmax)
well if he has NO wiring what so ever, not fuse box, dash, NOTHING, then of course you can go with pretty much whatever wiring you want, as long as the O2 is koo and the Vtec, but you can always convert plug and so forth...but do you really want to get into that much work? I would say use a SI harness and call it good, that way there wont be any other issues down the road, and you wont have to look in 3 different chiltons manuals to diag an electrical problem

what is the car being built for? if its a street car just get all the wiring from a 99-00 civic dx, ex, si...use whichever one you can find (you should be able to find it). You can modify the engine wiring, which is not that hard...for the chassis side all those cars should have everything you need (dx would be best because you don't need the sunroof stuff and power stuff). Good luck! I did something like this a couple years back. Once everything is put together make sure that all the fuses and relays are in working condition...hope that helps
